About Virginia Gold Orchard
Virginia Gold Orchard, founded in 1990 by Paul and Youngsuk Estabrook, embodies their enduring passion for Asian pear cultivation. Today, under the stewardship of a dedicated team of farmers, the orchard thrives with approximately 5,000 Asian pear trees. These trees yield up to 16 distinct varieties each fall, creating a vibrant tapestry of flavors.
However, the orchard’s offerings extend beyond its exceptional pears. Visitors can also indulge in locally cultivated Wild-Flower Honey, hand-pressed Apple Cider Vinegar, and irresistible homemade Asian pear Marmalade. The orchard has recently added a Winery Tasting Room. Guests can relish award-winning wines and handcrafted sangrias, all while basking in the serene farm ambiance and breathtaking views.
U-Pick Fields
If you’re in the mood for outdoor fun, don’t miss their U-Pick Flower Field. Whether summer or fall, you’ll find a delightful array of flowers to fill up your wide-mouthed mason jar and take home with you. The orchard is located at 100 Asian Pear Way, Natural Bridge, VA. Getting to it is a breeze. Head northeast on US-11 N/S Lee Hwy from Natural Bridge for 1.5 miles. Turn left onto VA-130 W and continue for 1.7 miles, then make a right onto VA-759 and drive for 1.2 miles. Finally, turn left onto VA-759/Asian Pear Way. Visit these directions on Google maps here.
