The Natural Bridge/Natural Bridge Hotel and Conference Center, the popular vacation destination in Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley is looking for quality associates in the following areas to join our team:
Natural Bridge is looking for quality associates for the following full time
and seasonal positions:
• Front Desk
• Housekeeping
• Dining Room Servers
• Food and Beverage Positions

Available full time positions available for qualifies applicants:
Manager of Interpretive Services
Develop interpretive content and tour scripts.
• Develop and manage all special fee and non-fee interpretive programs, including those aimed at park guests, school and youth groups, families and other special-interest audiences. These include but are not limited to school field trip programs, overnight programs for youth and family groups, camps and scouting badge programs, special interest tours, and themed interpretive events for the general public.
• Oversee existing and develop new interpretive signage and static/museum displays to tell the story of the Natural Bridge, including its history, biology, geology and folklore.
• Ensure that programs meet Virginia's Standards of Learning (SOL) when appropriate.
• Manage a full and part time peak staff of 20, including hiring, firing, scheduling, training, and day-to-day direction.
• Create and adhere to annual budgets, both revenue and expense, for all interpretive programs.
• Work closely with Natural Bridge's Marketing and Sales Manager on developing and growing participation in the park's interpretive programs.
• Provide strategic leadership for the operation, staying abreast of museum/attraction industry interpretive and educational program trends, striving for innovation and continual improvement.
• Adhere to all Natural Bridge policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to safety, presentation, guest service, employee and guest safety, environmental and financial controls.
• Other responsibilities as required
Skills:
• Ability to develop interpretive themes based on the natural and human history of the Natural Bridge and surrounding region.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• At least intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software.
• Current, or willingness to obtain, Certified Interpretive Trainer or Planner status with the National Association for Interpretation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in education, history, environmental studies or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in educational or interpretive program development.
• Physical ability to stand, sit down, and kneel for extended periods.
• Physical ability to work outdoors on a daily basis.
• Physical ability to perform all functions as set forth above, including but not limited to lifting 30 lbs.
• Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Executive Sous Chef & Sous Chef
Available at the Natural Bridge Hotel & Conference Center located between Roanoke and Lexington in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. These full time positions are responsible for planning and directing preparation in a multi-unit dining operation with one of the most popular dining rooms in Western Virginia. Duties include: supervising staff, assisting with scheduling, maintaining inventory/cost control, menu development. and banquet operation. Salary based upon experience.
